Original Design Yamagata Dantsu

Handcrafted carpets meticulously woven by artisans are said to last for over a century, and this exceptional quality and durability is the defining feature of Yamagata Dantsu.

The design features a Tang-style scroll pattern called Hōsōge as its base, incorporating floral and natural motifs that evoke the seven seasons cherished by Hotel Chinzanso Tokyo.
Please look for the seven motifs: plum blossoms, camellias, cherry blossoms, hydrangeas, fireflies, crape myrtle, and maple leaves.

Replicas from the Tokugawa Art Museum, Aichi Prefecture, are on display.
We selected the Kano school, which is believed to have been favored by Prime Minister Yamagata Aritomo, based on the presence of screen paintings attributed to the Kano school on the walls of the reception room in the Western-style building at Murin-an, Kyoto.
The right panel depicts plants and birds from spring to summer, while the left panel shows those from autumn to winter. Move your gaze from right to left and enjoy the changing expressions of the seasons.

Y・A Mark

The design featuring the initials Y.A., representing Prime Minister Yamagata Aritomo, adorns the door at the entrance to the Executive Lounge. This relief was also applied to the fittings of the Western-style building at Kokian in Odawara, one of the three famous gardens created by Yamagata Aritomo, the original owner of the Chinzanso Garden.

Kumikowoodwork

Traditional kumikowoodwork, crafted without nails, adorns the partitions in the light meal area and the ceiling of the garden view area within the Executive Lounge. The pattern, known as “Shokko,” is an auspicious design symbolizing the fulfillment of love, marital harmony, and longevity.

Hiroshige Utagawa is also known for painting "Bashō's Hermitage on Camellia Hill beside the Aqueduct at Sekiguchi" from the Series "One Hundred Famous Views of Edo" and as an artist connected to this area, his ukiyo-e work was selected for display in the Executive Lounge. The piece exhibited was printed at a woodblock workshop in Bunkyo Ward, Tokyo, the same ward as the hotel.

Within the Executive Lounge, you can enjoy a light morning meal, tea time, evening canapés, and beverages.

Enjoy our chef's freshly cooked egg dishes, prepared right before your eyes during our Morning Light Meal hours. We use carefully selected fertile eggs.

Executive Lounge exclusive menu item: Cube-shaped croissant “Kasane”. A masterpiece featuring generous fermented butter for a delightfully crispy yet fluffy texture. Like the three-storied pagoda in our historic garden, over 100 layers of dough are meticulously stacked to create a rich, layered flavor.

We also offer a rotating seasonal menu featuring items like our Danish pastries made with fresh seasonal fruits.

Enjoy our original “GARDEN HONEY,” harvested from our hotel's beehives, in the Executive Lounge. It is also available at the hotel shop “Selections,” making it a recommended souvenir.
*Please note that the amount of honey harvested is limited. Service will end once supplies run out.

The Truffle Flavor, featuring a cube-shaped croissant exclusive to the Executive Lounge menu accented with truffle aroma and saltiness, is available only during evening hours. We recommend pairing it with sparkling wine.

Hotel Chinzanso Tokyo presents “Seven Seasons”—inspired by camellias, cherry blossoms, fresh greenery, fireflies, cool summer, autumn, and winter—offering soups with seasonal flavors. Enjoy a different taste with each stay.

Our warm stews served in cocottes also feature seasonal menus. They're perfect for a relaxing moment before bedtime.

We offer a selection of premium cheeses, charcuterie, and other ingredients that pair perfectly with alcohol. Please enjoy them during your relaxing time after dinner at the restaurant.

Experience traditional crafts and art

The 10 showcases display works of art such as Japan’s famed lacquerware, Edo glass, Hagi ware pottery from the birthplace of founder Yamagata Aritomo, and a wide range of other art forms that are partially exchanged by season.
It’s a fine opportunity to enjoy Japanese handicrafts.

Private rooms are ideal for families with children

For guests with small children or who would prefer a contained environment, a private room is available optionally upon request.
Children 12 and under may enter the main area of the Executive Lounge until 6:30 p.m., and dine on the evening menu with the whole family.

Our pet-friendly hotel welcomes small dogs or cats to stay with you. (For suite room stays, pets up to 13 kg are permitted.)
