[For Mice and Groups] Shinto Shrine Experience MORINOMIYA
Atop the hill of camellias stands Shinto shrine Morinomiya…
Now, guests can experience the purity and beauty of the world of Shinto.
During the experience, participants can enjoy a “gagaku” musical performance, which is often called the world’s oldest orchestra, for an extraordinary, spiritual moment.
The head priest of the shrine will also offer prayer for prosperity in business and safety in daily lives.
The customs realized from the way of life in ancient Japan are the essence of Shinto itself.

Message from Morinomiya Head Priest Toru Kawabe
Japan is home to a great number of deities. They inhabit the sun, moon, mountains, rivers, ocean, trees, flowers, water, rain, and wind. At the Morinomiya shrine, guests can view the hills of camellias where so many of these deities reside, through the large window. The shrine is visited by gods presiding over weddings, business prosperity, and the god watching over human relationships, Okuninushi.
We offer prayer with the hopes that guests can come into contact with the gods of Japan and enjoy the beautiful culture of Shinto.
We teach the following as methods of prayer:
Tamagushi offering
Two bows, two claps, one bow
We can offer prayers for a variety of requests such as travel safety, business prosperity, health, and achievement. We look forward to welcoming you to the beauty of Shinto.
