[For MICE and Groups] Fan-Making Experience

Experience the skills of craftsmen as you learn about the deeper meaning behind the shape of folding fans

Fans open from between 90 or 180 degrees, with most opening at around 120 degrees, or the centerpoint of a circle divided into three parts.
The shape of an open fan is known as a circular section, or ougigata/senkei in Japanese, and is a term used in geometry.
The Kanda water supply was made in 1590, right after Ieyasu Tokugawa entered Edo, and connects to the Kanda river, located near Hotel Chinzanso Tokyo, where people enjoyed cool summer nights and boating.
Guests can making fans as you they reflect upon the people who spent their time here ages ago.
The shape of a fan, which becomes wider toward the ends, is considered auspicious, and is perfect as a souvenir for your loved ones.
Participants can experience part of the process of making a fan under the guidance of a fan-making craftsman.
