Centennial Celebration: Entsukaku Pagoda’s 100 Years in Chinzanso Garden

2025 marks the passage of 100 years since the iconic three-story pagoda became a symbol of the Chinzanso garden after being relocated to Mejiro from far-off Higashi-Hiroshima.

Since its original presence in Chikurinji Temple of Takamurayama, it has watched over the wishes and prayers of countless people.

That long history is now celebrated with the majestic view of the pagoda.

For the century to come, we will seek to preserve the history and culture embodied by the pagoda, Entsukaku, which has been registered as a national tangible cultural property.

It’s time to celebrate the century spent together with the three-story pagoda!
